AMY SPENCE

Veterinary Administrator

Amy Spence, Dr. Spence’s wife, is proud to support the family business and help keep 101 Pet Vet running smoothly behind the scenes. A Cal Poly graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Amy brings a lifelong love of animals, strong organizational skills, and a caring family-centered perspective to the practice.

Before joining the 101 Pet Vet family full-time, Amy served as an Administrative Director for nonprofit organizations including Animals In Need and the Central Coast Greenhouse Growers Association. She also spent six years as a horse trainer at Cambridge Equestrian Center in Santa Maria, CA. Today, Amy puts that wide-ranging experience to work as Veterinary Administrator, helping support the clinic, the team, and the family mission of providing thoughtful care for pets and the people who love them. Outside the clinic, Amy enjoys spending time with her children Bradley, Zachery, and Amber, her two cats, Sully and Maximus, and her Belgian Malinois, Bear.

LOGAN PADILLA

Lead Registered Veterinary Technician

Logan joined 101 Pet Vet in early 2022, starting in reception before growing into veterinary assisting and becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2024. As Lead RVT, she brings skill, compassion, and a calm, attentive presence to every patient she cares for. Logan is a Fear-free Certified team member who notices the little things, making sure a nervous pet has a soft voice and gentle handling, keeping patients comfortable before and after procedures, and taking time to support pet parents with clear communication. She leads by example with a patient-first approach, helping every pet feel safe, seen, and cared for. Outside of work, Logan enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and hiking.

"CAT" CATALINA CERVANTES

Lead Client/ Patient Care Specialist

Catalina, proudly known as the mom of the infamous Steve, joined the 101 Pet Vet team in 2023 and quickly became a steady, professional presence for both clients and patients. With a caring heart, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to following through, she works hard to make sure every pet, and every person feels supported from start to finish. Whether she is coordinating care, answering questions, or helping keep the day running smoothly, Catalina brings warmth, reliability, and genuine dedication to every interaction. In her free time, she makes the best guacamole, enjoys spending time with her family, and takes Steve out to see the sights.

KASSANDRA ROSALES

Client/Patient Care Specialist

Kassandra graduated from the Charter College Veterinary Assistant Program in 2016 and brings a thoughtful, patient-first approach to everything she does.

Kassandra has built a strong foundation in animal care through extensive volunteer work at animal shelters, experience with a reputable dog breeder, and years of hands-on work in veterinary medicine. Since joining 101 Pet Vet in 2018, she has become a trusted team member known for her patience, knowledge, and ability to explain pet health concerns in a clear, reassuring way. With personal experience caring for pets with chronic conditions such as diabetes, Kassandra understands how important it is to put the patient first every step of the way while supporting the families who love them. Outside the clinic, Kassandra enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and menagerie of pets.

JESSLYNN ARANA

Client/Patient Care Specialist

Jesslynn joined 101 Pet Vet in 2021 and quickly became one of the friendly faces helping keep the clinic organized, welcoming, and running smoothly. With a sharp eye for detail and a caring touch, she helps make sure appointments, prescriptions, and client needs are handled with accuracy and a smile. She also has a special soft spot for the Frenchies who strut through the clinic, bringing their big personalities along with them. Outside of work, Jesslynn loves spending time with her wonderful daughter and her dogs, Kilo and Bronx. She is also a Halloween enthusiast with a serious flair for decorating, making spooky season one of her favorite times of year.

EMILY MCDOWELL

Veterinary Assistant

Emily has been bringing her skills, experience, and upbeat energy to the veterinary field since 2014, and she joined the 101 Pet Vet team in 2022. With years of hands-on experience, Emily confidently assists with a wide range of technician tasks, but she especially shines as our resident dental guru, helping keep pet smiles healthy and bright. Her approachable demeanor and calm, friendly presence help put pets at ease every step of the way, making visits feel a little more comfortable for both patients and their people. When she is not helping patients feel their best, Emily enjoys spending time with her dogs and horses. She is also a proud Cowboys superfan, bringing plenty of team spirit wherever she goes.

JACKALINE GUZMAN

Veterinary Assistant

Jackaline Guzman graduated from Charter College Veterinary Assistant Program in 2018. She has worked at an animal shelter where she worked with many different animals. Jackaline is studying biology with the intent to transfer to Vet School. On her time off she enjoys spending time with her daughter, dog, and cat.

BRITTNIE DELGADO

Client/ Patient Care Specialist

Brittnie has been part of the veterinary field since 2015 and joined the 101 Pet Vet team in 2023, bringing years of experience, quick thinking, and a compassionate heart to every appointment. She is skilled at assessing patient needs efficiently while helping pets and their families feel cared for, supported, and understood. Known for keeping things moving with warmth and confidence, Brittnie helps deliver timely appointments, prescriptions, and service without losing sight of what matters most: the comfort and well-being of each pet and the people who love them. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time at the beach and hiking.

BRADLEY SPENCE

Bookkeeper/ Veterinary Assistant

Brad joined the 101 Pet Vet team in 2023 and is proud to support the family business with his growing talent for accounting. He is currently attending Cal Lutheran, where he is majoring in Accounting and building the skills that help keep the behind-the-scenes side of the practice organized and strong. Like his parents, Brad has a natural way with animals and brings a gentle, steady presence to the clinic. Outside of work and school, he is a dedicated powerlifter and a loyal 49ers fan.

ALEXANDREA BAUTISTA

Veterinary Assistant

Alex began working in veterinary medicine in 2024 and quickly discovered it was the career path she wanted to pursue long-term. A fast learner in everything she does, Alex brings curiosity, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic to each new skill she takes on. She is currently completing her undergraduate studies with plans to transfer to veterinary school, and she is excited to continue growing in the field. Alex also has a special fondness for beagles.

Steve!

101 Pet Vet Mascot

Steve! came into the world as one tiny member of a big, busy litter, already full of puppy curiosity and mischief. One day, that curiosity led him to swallow his littermate’s collar, causing a dangerous intestinal obstruction. What began as an ordinary puppy mishap quickly became an emergency, and Steve needed help right away.
Dr. Spence performed exploratory surgery and removed the items along with a large damaged portion of Steve’s intestines. It was a serious procedure for such a small puppy, but Steve was placed in the hands of a team that refused to give up on him. From surgery to recovery, the staff at 101 Pet Vet surrounded him with skill, patience, and compassion.
Because his road back to health was uncertain, Dr. Spence chose to foster Steve! until he was confident that this brave little puppy could live a normal, happy life with a family. Steve’s recovery was long, but he faced it in his own charming way—often curled up in Dr. Spence’s desk chair, claiming it as his favorite recovery spot until he eventually grew too big to fit there.
Today, Steve! is more than a survivor. He is part of the heart of 101 Pet Vet and will forever be our mascot. His story reminds us why this work matters: because every surgery, every careful check-in, and every act of kindness can change a life. Steve! is living proof that what we do makes a difference.
